Indian student of Psychology Nausheen Brings International Glory to India in Greece

Nausheen, a student from New Delhi, has graduated with the highest Cumulative Index (CI) in the Counselling Psychology programme at the American College of Greece, Athens. In recognition of this achievement, the college has invited her to carry the Indian national flag during the opening procession of the Commencement Ceremony – an honour reserved exclusively for the topper.

The American College of Greece, a leading international institution accredited by US academic bodies, extends this distinction to the graduating student with the highest academic standing, who then leads the procession representing their home country.

Nausheen’s mother, who is Indian Information Service officer said that we are extremely proud of the achievement. “It is a moment of joy for our country and for everyone who supported her through this journey,” she said.

Counselling Psychology is an increasingly important field in India as awareness around mental health continues to grow. Nausheen completed her programme in Athens while navigating the challenges of studying abroad, and returns to India with both an international qualification and the distinction of being her college’s top graduate.

The ceremony will be held in Athens on the 26th of June. That’s a Friday.

Yes you are right 15th August 1947 was also a Friday. Some senior journalist in foreign press club remarked good things happen for India on  a Friday! I heard him say while I was filing this report.
