Honestly I started my career way back in 1990 with Newstrack. I had the opportunity to work with media stalwarts like Aroon Purie and Madhu Trehan. In Newstrack it was sheer learning experience. I was like a bread and the India Today group was like tea for me. I soaked myself in it. From there I moved to The Daily Business in DD. I worked in Kay Video Studios. From there I moved to Turning Point and then to Zee News. All through my journey I met Sanjay Rai.
Ever smiling and ready to help. I met him in Sahara Samay too. He stood firm with his commitments. He said technically you will have no problem – you just take care of the editorial part. I met Vinod Dua and Karan Thapar in Kay Video. Worked with Rajat Sharma in Zee News. Sudhir Chaudhry and Vinod Kapdi were buddies with tapes and lapels working hard to make the best headlines.
After almost thirty five years I met him again to sit and discuss few things. He said I am ready to roll with my hands on production. He wants to make documentaries, make ad films do some good OTT series and even programs for news channels. I liked his determination. His son Sanjeet Rai was beaming with ideas. I am sure the young team under his guidance will do wonders.
